Welcome to Cryptography Researchers of India (CRIYPT) — a community-driven platform connecting cryptography researchers from academia and industry, both within India and around the world.
Our Mission
Cryptography is a field that underpins modern security, privacy, and trust in digital systems. India has a vibrant and growing community of cryptographers working on some of the most challenging open problems in the field — from theoretical foundations to real-world deployments.
CRIYPT was founded to:
- Connect researchers across geography and institution
- Showcase the breadth and depth of Indian cryptographic expertise
- Facilitate collaboration between academia and industry
- Inspire the next generation of cryptographers
What We Cover
Our community spans the full spectrum of modern cryptography:
- Symmetric Cryptography — block ciphers, stream ciphers, hash functions
- Public-Key Cryptography — RSA, elliptic curves, lattice-based schemes
- Secure Multiparty Computation (MPC) — privacy-preserving protocols
- Zero-Knowledge Proofs — SNARKs, STARKs, and interactive proofs
- Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) — computation on encrypted data
- Post-Quantum Cryptography — lattices, codes, isogenies
- Applied Cryptography — blockchain, confidential computing, payment systems
- Hardware Security — side-channel attacks, secure enclaves
How to Contribute
We welcome contributions from the community! Here is how you can help:
Add a Researcher If you know a cryptography researcher of Indian origin who is not on our list, please submit a pull request to our GitHub repository or email us.
Submit a Position Know of an open position in cryptography? Head over to our Positions page to see how to submit it.
Write a Post Have an announcement, opinion, or tutorial to share with the community? We welcome blog post contributions.
Report Issues Found a mistake or a broken link? Open a GitHub issue.
